The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be performing UTSA network maintenance in the JPL Operations Data Center from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11th to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 12th.  

During this time, all users utilizing our UTSA wired and wireless networks to access network resources and internet services will experience intermittent network interruptions within all buildings. Additionally, off-campus users will not be able to access UTSA resources.

​The Office of Information Technology will be performing emergency UTSA network maintenance in the JPL Operations Data Center starting at 12:00 a.m. early morning on Wednesday, March 8, and lasting until 1:00 a.m. on the same day.

This emergency maintenance work is being conducted to replace a network core hardware component. During this time, all users utilizing our UTSA wired and wireless networks to access network resources and internet services may experience intermittent network interruptions.  We appreciate your patience as we conduct this necessary maintenance work.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has been advised that our vendor Microsoft is experiencing a service degradation with the Office 365 App Launcher. This service degradation may intermittently affect some users’ ability to view some app launcher tiles within the Microsoft Office 365 offering on the web.

The affected tiles may include, but is not limited to, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Office Online, and custom app launchers.

The Office of Information Technology is following the developments with Microsoft and will provide more information as it becomes available.

​The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has been advised that UTSA Facilities will be conducting electrical maintenance in the McKinney Humanities Building (MH) beginning on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 and running throughout the day on Saturday, December 31, 2016. This maintenance will prohibit access to Internet, email, Blackboard Learn, I: and S: drives, and other network services from the MH during this timeframe. Network services in the remaining areas of the campus should not be affected.

OIT technicians were able to isolate the root cause of the issue and resolve the outage. Access to the UTSA network and applications is confirmed available.
